Under the Czech Sky (Troupová & Hilscherová & Janál & Stehlík & Dušek)
13. November v 19:30
Just a few days before the national holiday we present a concert of Czech composers on folk poetry texts and important Czech poets Jaroslav Seifert and Vítězslav Nezval.
The whole concert is all the more solemn because the performance of works by all of the featured composers will commemorate their important anniversaries this year. K. B. Jirák and P. Bořkovec both 50 years since their deaths, E. Schulhoff 80 years since his death, O. Mácha and Ilja Hurník both 100 years since their birth.
The soloists of the evening will be leading singers: soprano Irena Troupová, mezzo-soprano Lucie Hilscherová and baritone Roman Janál, who systematically devote themselves to the interpretation of lesser-known Czech music. Two sought-after pianists, Bohumír Stehlík and Jan Dušek, will sit at the piano.
- Karel Boleslav Jirák: Rok
- Pavel Bořkovec: Sedm písní na básně Vítězslava Nezvala
- Erwin Schulhoff: Národní písně a tance z Těšínska

- Ilja Hurník: Slezské písně
