Love’s Pleasure and Sorrow (Troupová & Matějová)
11. December at 18:00
For this very intimate concert in December we have chosen songs and canzonettas by the important Czech composers of the Classical and early Romantic periods, Jiří Antonín Benda (300 years since his birth) and Jan Ladislav Dusík (210 years since his death). The concert will be complemented by Canzonettas by Franz Joseph Haydn, whose birth 290 years ago is being commemorated this year. Both performers (soprano Irena Troupová and pianist Petra Matějová) are respected specialists in historical interpretation, which, in conjunction with the beautiful space of the Respirium at Liechtenstein Palace, the hammerklavier and the beautiful songs, presents an ideal constellation.
Attention, the concert starts at 18h due to technical reasons!
