This new double-CD title explores in premiere recordings the art songs of composer Hans Winterberg, who was born in Prague in 1901.
The relatively extensive song oeuvre is an integral part of Winterberg’s work and can be traced throughout his entire creative life (1901-1991).
In addition to individual songs and song cycles with piano, the recording includes the song cycle Dort und hier for soprano and piano trio. The release of the complete songbook also includes four songs of a lighter genre, presenting Winterberg in a different light.
The representative artefact edition is an 80-page booklet in Czech, German, English and Hebrew. Lyrics in German and Czech translations.
